laurie robinson
Laurie is an RYT 200, trained at The Yoga Ground©. She is privileged to add the title of Yoga Instructor to her long list of titles, as it is the one role that helps her navigate the rest. Laurie is a Litigation Paralegal, Co-Chair of the State Bar Paralegal Committee, Speaker, and Editor. More importantly, she is a mom, sistergirlfriend, and a confidant.
Laurie was drawn to the practice of yoga because she wanted to find something to help her slow down. Her practice started at home years ago, where she learned in her living room because she was afraid that she could not do yoga the "right way".
Though she felt out of place the first time she went to a yoga studio because no one looked like her, she did not give up. Yoga has helped her work through her fears of not being good enough, and through it she has gained confidence, self-acceptance, love and a sense of peace.
Laurie's focus is on Meditative, Restorative and Gentle Yoga because life is hard enough! She wants to inspire others who may have challenges to embrace yoga and enjoy the benefits and possibilities that come with the practice. She wants to introduce different and diverse communities to the benefits of yoga.
Laurie is honored to be able to enlighten students on how to embrace yoga while being ok with where they are now. A No Judgment Zone. A journey within itself.
