Kristen Kemp, 500 E-RYT, began her yoga journey 10 years ago after her third baby was born. Yoga gave her the physical and spiritual tools she needed, and she experienced more patience, calmness, kindness and love since she started practicing and teaching. Kristen shares what she’s learned and serves others. Her classes are infused with philosophy and movement that makes sense. She teaches a fun and sweaty flow inspired by her teachers Jason Crandell, Kathryn Budig, Judith Lasater, Jody Domerstad, Stacey Bell and Alison McCue. She also studied yoga as therapy, and she teaches female detainees at the Hudson County Correctional facility every Friday. She teaches 10 classes a week for Powerflow Yoga and JaiPure. She was honored to teach 800 yogis more than once at New York City's Bryant Park Yoga for Yoga Journal. She has also taught at the Yoga Journal Live! conference. When she’s not at the yoga studio, Kristen is a longtime freelance writer and author. She loves her shifts as a certified EMT for Glen Ridge Volunteer Ambulance Service.
