A few feet of empty wall space is a very useful prop in yoga. It can help you deepen poses you do often, and help you get into poses you might not be able to do in the middle of the room. In this workshop, we use the wall for standing balancing poses, hip openers, backbends, and handstands. The workshop is open to all levels! Feel free to fast forward through anything you aren't feeling, or press pause to play more in certain poses. Blocks and/or a chair, and a blanket/pillow are needed for this class.
This 60 minute flow is an introduction to handstands. It is appropriate for anyone with or without a handstand practice. The flow includes stabilizing poses and handstand drills that can be done even if you are scared to go upside down. There won't be any hopping up to handstand against a wall. Instead, the purpose of this class is to build the strength to one day lift into a handstand, rather than to hop up and hope it sticks!
